New monthly club challenge

  1. Entry is free to Club members. Visitors can enter at £2.00 per entry
  2. All images entered in the Challenges must originate with one or more photographic images recorded by the member with a camera. 100% computer generated images are not eligible for entry
  3. The entry is to have been taken in the last twelve months.
  4. Authors Name and date taken to be included in the entry - must at least include month and year.
  5. Entries must be uploaded before the end of the challenge month.
  6. Up to 3 entries per member is allowed
  7. Only digital images will be accepted. No prints or slides.
  8. Entries are to be captioned to explain what they are about.
  9. Entries must be of a reasonably large file size and high quality - The MAXIMUM size of the digital image file must not exceed 2MB The MINIMUM size of the digital image file must not be less than 300K. The longest side of the digital image should be between 1000 and 3500 pixels. Your photos must be in Jpeg format.

    For optimum results the following settings are suggested
    Image file size 1.5 – 2MB
    Working colour space: Adobe RGB
    Resolution: 200 – 300 dpi
  10. Once uploaded a photo is classed as an entry and cannot be replaced by another shot. However, you have until the closing date / time of the challenge to ensure that your photo meets criteria.
  11. Entrants may perform any enhancements and modifications that improve the presentation of the image in keeping with the topic of the challenge.
  12. The club will not tolerate or accept derogatory or obscene photographs. Any photograph deemed to be of such a nature will result in immediate disqualification from this and future competitions
  13. Any entry must be your own work and not previously submitted in a previous challenge. The images you submit must be taken by you - you must own the copyright
  14. Participants must have written permission before submitting identifiable photos of anyone who is under the age of 16.
  15. The Challenge judge’s decision is final.
